ILOILO City — Mayor Raisa Treñas will deliver her first State of the City Address (SOCA) today, October 8, marking her 100th day in office as Iloilo City’s chief executive.
The event, to be held at the Ker and Co. building, will serve as a milestone for Treñas’ administration as she presents her 100-day report, highlighting 40 key projects and initiatives launched since assuming office.
In a statement, Mayor Treñas said her SOCA will focus on accomplishments in health, education, social welfare, peace and order, and infrastructure development.
“We’ve worked hard these past 100 days to set the foundation for an inclusive and progressive city. This SOCA is not just a report — it’s a reflection of our collective effort to serve every Ilonggo,” she said.
Among the highlights of her address will be the establishment of the Atipan Center, which provides immediate care and assistance to individuals in crisis, and the rollout of programs aimed at strengthening community-based health services and expanding educational access.
The mayor also said she will outline both short-term and long-term development plans for Iloilo City.
“We are laying down programs that will ensure sustainability and growth not just today, but for the years to come. Our goal is to build a city that truly works for its people — livable, compassionate, and resilient,” Mayor Treñas added.
Local officials and various stakeholders are expected to attend, as the SOCA marks the first major policy statement of the city’s first female mayor since taking office in June 2025./PN
