ANTIQUE — The Provincial Government of Antique will conduct the Medical, Dental, and Civic Action Program (MEDCAP) 2025 in Barangay Linaban, Hamtic on November 18, bringing various free government services closer to residents.
This initiative was finalized during a coordination meeting held Tuesday, November 11, with representatives from various national and provincial government agencies.
According to retired Police Colonel Jose Roy Torechilla of the Provincial Peace and Order and Public Safety (POPS), the activity will be participated in by multiple agencies offering an array of services to the people of Barangay Linaban and nearby communities.
An estimated 1,000 beneficiaries are expected to receive assistance during the one-day outreach. Services will include a medical and dental mission, eye consultations with free reading eyeglasses, and legal advice from members of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP).
Personnel from the Philippine Army and Philippine Coast Guard will also provide free circumcision and haircut services as part of the civic action program.
Gov. Paolo Javier expressed full support for the activity, emphasizing that such initiatives aim to bring essential government services directly to the people and ensure that every Antiqueño feels genuine and accessible public service.
Residents who wish to avail of the free services are encouraged to come early, as the event will start at 6 a.m. and continue until all those in need have been attended to./PN
