BACOLOD City – Police suspected the killing of a juice drink merchandiser in Talisay City, Negros Occidental was illegal drug-related.
Audie Tando of Barangay Zone 4, Talisay City had been shot to death, according to Superintendent Adonis Rosales, Talisay police chief.
The 38-year-old was found kneeling with his head on a chair and peppered with bullets on the body, police said.
Police further said the shooting happened at around 3:30 a.m. on Thursday.
Initial investigation showed Tando was with a cousin and a neighbor – identified only as “Dindol Pama” and “Kewin,” respectively – at the time of the shooting but the latter two fled after the incident.
Several open plastic packs of suspected shabu and four empty shells of a .45 pistol were found at the crime scene.
Police claimed they were zeroing in on a “person of interest” but refused to name them pending full investigation./PN
