Motorcycle-bus crash kills San Enrique man

BACOLOD City – He got killed after overtaking a vehicle in Barangay Poblacion, San Enrique, Negros Occidental, a police report showed.

Resident John Paul Lu, a construction worker, was pinned to death after the motorcycle he was driving crashed against a Ceres bus around 7:35 p.m. on Tuesday, the report further stated.

According to the police, the 38-year-old bus driver Omar Trono of Bago City, Negros Occidental tried to avoid the motorcycle by hitting the brakes but failed.

The motorcycle skidded under the bus while Lu sustained injuries on the different parts of the body.

He was brought to the Valladolid District Hospital where attending physician Dr. Mary Grace Tanjusay pronounced him “dead on arrival.”

Trono, on the other hand, was now under the custody of the San Enrique police station./PN
