BACOLOD City – Crossing the road turned fatal for a man in Barangay Mabini, Pulupandan, Negros Occidental.
The 26-year-old resident Nick Rufino was hit by a motorcycle at around 4:55 a.m. on Thursday, a police report showed.
He sustained head and body injuries and was rushed to the Valladolid District Hospital where the attending physician pronounced him “dead on arrival.”
The driver of the motorcycle was identified as the 24-year-old Robin Panugaling of Barangay Lalagsan, La Castellana, Negros Occidental.
Panugaling was with two back riders – Jomarie Digayo and Ma. Gelord Java.
Panugaling and Digayo were hurt and now confined at the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Hospital in Bacolod for treatment.
Police were investigating the incident./PN
