BACOLOD City – The motorcycle he was driving crashed against a parked cargo truck on Rizal Street in Barangay Balaring, Silay City, Negros Occidental.
The 24-year-old Ranrey Dusaran of Barangay Lantad, Silay City died, a police report showed.
The crash happened around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Dusaran was navigating the road on board his Kawasaki Bajaj motorcycle when he hit the rear portion of the truck, police said.
He fell to the road and sustained injuries on the head.
Dusaran was rushed to the Teresita Lopez Jalandoni Provincial Hospital in Silay City where attending physician Dr. Carlo Herbeo pronounced him “dead on arrival” at around 9:45 p.m.
Meanwhile, the truck driver – who was identified as 24-year-old Rodian Saludar of Barangay Camandag, La Castellana, Negros Occidental – was placed under the custody of the police./PN
