Motorcyclist left unconscious after hitting tree in Passi City

ILOILO — A 27-year-old motorcycle driver was found unconscious hours after his vehicle veered off the road and slammed into an Indian mango tree in Barangay Cadilang, Passi City early Tuesday morning, May 12.

According to Fire Officer 3 Elvis Aguilar of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)-Passi City, the victim, identified only as alias “Jestony,” had been drinking with his cousin prior to the accident. He reportedly left around midnight to head home.

Investigators believe the victim lost control of his motorcycle due to his intoxicated state. The impact of the crash left him unconscious at the scene.

The accident reportedly occurred around 1 a.m. It was only at 5 a.m. that local residents spotted the victim and alerted emergency responders.

BFP-Passi City personnel provided immediate first aid to the victim, who sustained head and body injuries. He was brought to a nearby hospital for medical treatment./PN
