BACOLOD City – Two suspects facing separate charges of murder and rape were arrested in Negros Occidental on Wednesday, Jan. 25.
Rex Salme, 63, of Barangay San Isidro, Pontevedra was a No. 8 provincial-level and No. 1 municipal-level wanted person.
He was served with a warrant in Barangay Nato, La Castellana, at around 8:43 a.m.
Meanwhile, rape with sexual assault suspect Bryan Quirino, 21, from Barangay V in Silay City, was a No. 7 city-level wanted person.
Quirino was arrested in Barangay 1, Silay City, around 10:15 a.m.
The Regional Trial Court – Branch 74 recommended no bail for Salme, while Branch 69
recommended a P120,000 bail for Quirino’s temporary liberty.
Salme and Quirino were detained at the Pontevedra Municipal Police Station and the Silay City Police Station, respectively./PN
