ILOILO City – Police were still trying to determine how and why a 26-year-old woman from San Rafael, Iloilo died.
Frelyn Narceña of Barangay Poblacion, San Rafael was found dead in Barangay Bagacay in the town on Sunday.
Police identified Narceña as a “mentally challenged person.”
Bagacay village councilman Joven Bajo discovered the body at the back of their barangay hall at 8:30 a.m., said Senior Inspector Kenn Albert Lepsia, San Rafael police chief.
Narceña sustained head injuries, initial police investigation showed.
“We are still waiting for the autopsy report. We are still trying to determine the motive,” Lepsia said.
Narceña was last seen in a dance hall in Barangay Aripdip, San Rafael. At around 3 a.m. that day she was seen riding a motorcycle with two unidentified persons, said the police.
“She would often leave their house and just roam around, according to her family,” said Lepsia./PN
