MANILA — Bobby Ray Parks Jr. was off target but Nagoya Diamond Dolphins still scored an 86-64 rout of Shinshu Brave Warriors in the 2021-2022 Japan B.League on Wednesday night at Kotobuki Arena Chikuma.
The former TNT Tropang Giga guard was held to just four points to go with three rebounds, three steals, and two assists as the Diamond Dolphins notched its fifth straight win for a 31-13 win-loss slate.
Scott Eatherton led the way with double-double 19 points and 10 rebounds as Takumi Saito chipped in 14 points, eight assists, and two rebounds for Nagoya.
Matthew Aquino, meanwhile, was scoreless in his brief stint for the Brave Warriors, which fell to 23-26. Wayne Marshall top-scored with 17 points, six rebounds, two assists, and two blocks.
Javi Gomez de Liano also struggled with his points but Ibaraki Robots finally halted their losing skid with an 84-78 overtime win against Akita Northern Happinets at CNA Arena Akita.
The former University of the Philippines Fighting Maroon was held to just three points as the Robots improved to 15-34. Eric Jacobsen spearheaded the winning team with double-double 26 points and 12 rebounds.
Ilonggo brothers Kiefer and Ferdinand “Thirdy” Ravena III, meanwhile, have good scoring output for their respective teams but they suffered separate defeats.
Kiefer ignited the offense for the Shiga Lakestars but they still suffered a lopsided 103-87 defeat at the hands of SeaHorses Mikawa over at the Ukaruchan Arena.
Thirdy, on the other hand, came off-the-bench to deliver 11 points and five rebounds but San-En NeoPhoenix was dealt with a 79-69 defeat to Gunma Crane Thunders at Ota City Sports Park Citizen Gymnasium.
Dwight Ramos, for his part, scored 12 points but Toyama Grouses sustained a close 87-80 defeat to Shimane Susanoo Magic at Matsue City Gymnasium.
Kobe Paras, on the other hand, was held scoreless but have two rebounds and one assist as Niigata Albirex BB was humiliated by Utsunomiya Brex, 95-50 at City Hall Plaza Aore Nagaoka./PN
