DETROIT Pistons took advantage of Oklahoma City Thunder’s depleted roster to score a 124-116 victory in the 2025-26 NBA Regular Season on Wednesday night (Thursday in the Philippines) in Detroit, Michigan.
Jalen Duren delivered a dominant performance for the Pistons with 29 points and 15 rebounds, while Cade Cunningham matched him with 29 points and dished out 13 assists.
Duncan Robinson also contributed 16 points, and Ausar Thompson chipped in 11 to help the Pistons claim their sixth win in their last seven games, improving their record to 43–14.
Oklahoma City, the defending champions and Western Conference leaders, played without most of its primary offensive weapons in their battle against the East top seed.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was sidelined with an abdominal injury, while Isaiah Hartenstein (calf), Chet Holmgren (back), Ajay Mitchell (abdomen), Isaiah Joe (hip contusion) and Jalen Williams (hamstring) were also unavailable.
Despite the absences, Jaylin Williams stepped up with a career-high 30 points to lead Oklahoma City, while Cason Wallace added 23 markers. The loss dropped the Thunder to 45–15 after winning five of their previous six games.
In Milwaukee, Kevin Porter Jr. drilled a go-ahead basket as Milwaukee Bucks escaped with an 118-116 victory over Cleveland Cavaliers, who played without stars Donovan Mitchell, James Harden, and Evan Mobley.
With both teams knotted at 116-apiece, Porter broke the tie with a 16-foot fadeaway jumper with 20.2 seconds left. The Cavaliers tried to tie the score but Dennis Schroder missed a layup attempt.
Porter finished with a team-high of 20 points, Ryan Rollins and Kyle Kuzma added 19 and 17 markers, respectively, while Myles Turner and AJ Green concluded with 15 apiece.
