NEA names CENECO acting GM

BACOLOD City – The National Electrification Administration (NEA) designated Ervin Stan Leo Ticar as acting general manager (AGM) of Central Negros Electric Cooperative (CENECO).

On Nov. 29, 2021 Ticar was appointed as NEA representative to the CENECO board of directors.

NEA administrator Emmanuel Juaneza and Electric Cooperative Management Services Deputy Administrator Omar Mayo installed Ticar to his new post on March 22.

Jose Taniongon, officer-in-charge of CENECO, returned to his previous position in the power firm as the head of the engineering department, said CENECO president Jojit Yap.

Malou Parroco, head of CENECO’s coop-promotion section, said the power firm needed an AGM because it is important in the day-to-day operation of the cooperative until a permanent GM is hired.

Ticar’s designation is good for six months or until a regular GM is appointed, according to Juaneza in his Feb. 24 office order.

Ticar is tasked to manage the day-to-day operations of the electric cooperative to ensure the efficient delivery of electric service to member-consumer-owners./PN
