BACOLOD City — The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOcPPO) recently hosted a Halloween party for the children and dependents of its personnel, bringing fun and excitement to the NOcPPO family.
Dubbed the “Spook-tacular Halloween” celebration, the event was held on October 30 and featured a trick-or-treat activity that delighted the children. The party was led by Colonel Dennis Wenceslao, director of NOcPPO, reflecting his and the office’s commitment to fostering a supportive and enjoyable environment not only for personnel but also for their families.
The celebration included a mesmerizing magic show that captivated the audience and a variety of engaging games that kept the children entertained. The highlight of the event was the Halloween costume contest, where participants showcased their creativity and festive spirit. From superheroes to monsters and princesses to ghosts, the costumes were a sight to behold, earning cheers and applause from the crowd.
The event provided an opportunity for the NOcPPO family to come together in a fun and festive atmosphere, leaving everyone with a “fang-tastic” experience.
Meanwhile, as Undas 2025 approached, NOcPPO reminded the public to take precautions when visiting cemeteries: bring protection against heat and rain, ensure that lit candles do not cause fire or accidents, bring enough food and drinking water, make sure children have proper identification, avoid bringing sharp or deadly objects, gambling items, speakers, alcoholic drinks, and goods for selling, and know the location of the first aid station and the Philippine National Police Assistance Hub.
The Police Regional Office-NIR (PRO-NIR) also announced that about 900 personnel have been mobilized region-wide under its “Ligtas Undas 2025” campaign to ensure public safety during the observance./PN
