BACOLOD City – A supercentenarian who could be the world’s oldest person passed away on Monday night in her home in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.

Francisca Susano died at 124, the city government announced. They did not reveal further details.

A resident of Barangay Oringao, Susano was born on Sept. 11, 1897, when the country was still under Spanish occupation.

She survived both world wars I and II, as well as the Spanish flu pandemic in 1918 and the ongoing coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic.
