BACOLOD City – Lights and sounds service providers in Negros Occidental recently staged sky shows as a tribute to frontliners in the battle against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
The event was part of the “We Light As One” solidarity event of the country’s lights and sounds industry.
In Bago City, the Sonny Audio System in Barangay Abuanan mounted a spectacular show, showing flashes of while lights across the sky between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Sunday.
Owner Sonny Ramos said the lights show was accompanied by inspirational songs “Fight Song” and “Heal Our Land”.
A group in Talisay City also set up a lights show as shown in photos posted on the Facebook page of its Public Information Office (PIO).
“The City of Talisay supports ‘We Light As One,’ a cause sponsored by the lights and sounds suppliers in the country as a show of gratitude and appreciation to the sacrifices, bravery, and service of all the front-liners in the fight against COVID-19,” the PIO said in a statement.
In Negros Occidental, only one COVID-19 patient has been confirmed. She has already recovered and discharged from hospital confinement last week. (With a report from PNA/PN)
