BACOLOD City – The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) deployed 82 additional personnel to the Kabankalan City Police Station yesterday morning.
Police Colonel Romy Palgue, NOCPPO director, said the deployment aimed to augment ongoing search and rescue operations, as well as to beef up security in the city following the onslaught of super typhoon “Odette”.
The deployment consisted of 32 personnel from NOCPPO’s Civil Disturbance Management, and 50 personnel assigned for security, and search and rescue operations.
As for the equipment, Palgue said they reassigned there five patrol cars and one NOCPPO truck to boost the police station’s logistical capabilities.
The NOCPPO director assured the city’s residents and other nearby affected areas that the police will do their best to ensure the safety and security of everyone./PN
