NPA claims responsibility in killing Magsie’s civil security

BACOLOD City – The New People’s Army (NPA) Panaligan Command in Central Negros has claimed responsibility for the killing of Moises Padilla Mayor Magdaleno “Magsie” Peña’s chief of civil security in Sitio Mamballo, Barangay Quintin Remo around 1:40 p.m. Sunday.

“Ka Ann Jacinto,” the NPA spokesperson clamed in her statement to local radio stations that they killed Rusty  Caramihan Caminade, 32, married, a resident of Barangay Quintin Remo, Moises Padilla for his alleged atrocities to the people.

At least two killing incidents in the town were perpetrated by the victim, according to “Ka Ann Jacinto.”

Police disclosed that the victim was riding his black Rouser 200 motorcycle going to the municipal proper, when he was blocked and shot to death by two unidentified gunmen using an unknown caliber of short firearms.

Four other suspects allegedly served as lookouts for the killing and quickly fled the scene after the incident.

The victim sustained gunshot wounds to his head, as well as different parts of his body.

He was immediately brought to Isabela District Hospital for medical treatment but he was pronounced DOA (dead on arrival) by the attending physician.

Police are currently investigating the incident and probing the murder accusations of the NPA./PN
