NU Bulldogs to conduct tryouts in Talisay City

TAILSAY City –  In a mission to strengthen their senior and junior basketball teams, the National University (NU) Bulldogs is set to conduct a one-day tryout on Jan. 26 at the St. John’s North Point Campus (at the back of Ayala North District Mall) of the city.

Bulldogs assistant coach Caro Marvin Lito announced that the tryout is slated at 3 p.m., spearheaded by multi-titled head coach Goldwyn Monteverde.

Coach Monteverde, who won back-to-back NBTC championships and a two-time Palarong Pambansa titlist, is the current head coach of National University’s high school and collegiate basketball teams.

“This the chance for basketball aspirants to be part of one of the best basketball programs in the Philippines,” Caro said.

Among those Negrense players who are part of the National University basketball program are Harold Alarcon of Silay City and Reyland Torres of Bago City.

Players interested to in trying their luck in the high school division must be born from year 2007-2002, while the collegiate players must be born from year 2001-1998, Caro said./PN
