UAAP squad National University Bulldogs is set to play in the 3rd Mayor Neil Lizares’s Basketball Exhibition Game on February 9 at the Talisay City Gym in Talisay City, Negros Occidental.
The Bulldogs, which placed seventh in the UAAP Season 81 men’s basketball, will test the mettle of the Colegio de Sta. Ana de Victorias Titans, the back-to-back NOPSSCEA Basketball champions.
Leading the way for the Michael Jay Jarin-mentored Bulldogs were Pavia, Iloilo native Joshua Sinclair, siblings Shaun Danielle and Sean Dave Ildefonso, Adven Jess Diputado, Jonas Tibayan and John Gallego.
Also set to play for the Bulldogs were John Lloyd Clemente, Issa Gaye, Antonio Jose Joson, Matthew Aquino, John Martin Galinato, Dave Wilson Yu, and Reggie Nal Morido.
The Titans, on the other hand, were bannered by Junior Essakadoualla, Carl Magbanua and Jeffrey Manday, who was recently drafted by Che’Lu Bar and Grill in PBA Developmental League.
Prior to the Bulldogs-Titans game, which is slated at 6 p.m., set to play in the preliminary game at four in the afternoon were 14-and-under Negros selection and Talisay selection.
The exhibition basketball game was part of the city’s 21st Pasidungog Festival, which is the charter day and thanksgiving festival of the city./PN
