BACOLOD City – Negros Occidental’s Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson increased the reward money to P1.5 million for information which could lead to the arrest of suspects in the assassination of Provincial Consultant Mariano Antonio “Marton” Cui III earlier this year.
In October, Lacson offered P500,000.
Witnesses may contact Atty. Renoir Baldovino, district chief of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in this city, Lacson added.
Cui, who served as the capitol’s consultant for hospital operations, was assassinated by a sniper while leaving his office in Barangay Palampas, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental in April this year.
President Rodrigo Duterte had ordered the NBI to fast track the investigation./PN
