ILOILO City – In Western Visayas, 1,335,307 individuals got their first dose of anti-coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccines.
Based on the vaccination report (as of Aug. 29) of the Department of Health (DOH), Region 6 has 5,579,388 in eligible master-listed target population under Priority Group A.
Broken down, 214,916 belonged to the A1 priority group or the frontline health workers; 318,614 were senior citizens (A2); 443,239 were adults with comorbidities (A3); 224,045 were economic frontliners (A4); 34,197 belonged to indigent families (A5); while 140, 049 were subject for validation.
Meanwhile, 662,523 of those inoculated with their first dose received the Sinovac vaccine; AstraZeneca – 234,658; Pfizer – 20,600; Gamaleya – 4,799; Moderna – 92, 729; and Janssen – 320,007.
On the other hand, 14.95 percent or 833,860 individuals (including those who received the single-shot Janssen jabs) were already completely vaccinated./PN
