CAPIZ – More than 24,000 households in the province of Capiz have officially graduated from the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), marking a significant milestone in the government’s poverty alleviation efforts led by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
As of January 5, 2026, a total of 117,000 households across Western Visayas have successfully exited the 4Ps program. Of these, more than 15,000 are from Aklan, over 18,000 from Antique, more than 24,000 from Capiz, around 4,000 from Guimaras, and over 54,000 from Iloilo.
The 4Ps is the government’s flagship poverty reduction and human capital development program, providing conditional cash transfers to low-income families to help improve health, nutrition, and educational outcomes.
Under the program, participating households receive monthly financial assistance based on the educational level of their children. Beneficiaries are granted P300 for each child enrolled in daycare or elementary school, P500 for junior high school students, and P700 for senior high school students.
In addition to education grants, families also receive health subsidies and rice assistance, further supporting their basic needs and overall well-being./PN
