Over half a million Capiznons vaccinated vs COVID-19

CAPIZ — Over half a million residents in this province were already vaccinated against coronavirus disease in 2019 (COVID-19).

Data from the Capiz Provincial Health Office showed that as of Feb. 24, out of 656, 752 total target population of the province, the total vaccinated is 78.8 percent or 517, 317.

Also of the figure, 73 percent or 479, 409 are now completely vaccinated.

Data further showed that 5.9 percent or 38, 496 already received their booster dose.  

Meantime, the remaining unvaccinated target is around 21. 23 percent of 139, 435.

As to vaccination coverage per local government in the province, Roxas City and Pontevedra town have the highest accomplishment at 90.4 percent each followed by President Roxas at 86 percent, Maayon at 79.7 percent, and Sigma at 78.7 percent.

Meanwhile, as of the said date also, the province has 66 remaining active cases of COVID-19.

Data shows that the majority of these active cases or 92.42 percent are mild and asymptomatic while 46.97 percent are 7.58 percent are moderate, severe, or critical.

The active cases are from Roxas City 21;Tapaz 10;Panay 6; Dumarao, Panitan, Pilar and Pontevedra with four each; Dumalag, Mambusao and Jamindan with three each; and Cuartero, Ivisan, Sapian and Sigma with one each./PN
