CAPIZ – Police officers arrested two drug suspects and recovered approximately 18 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P122,400 in separate buy-bust operations on Friday, June 14.
The Ivisan Municipal Police Station (MPS) caught tricycle driver alias “Eljohn”, a resident of Barangay Lonoy, Roxas City, around 1:31 a.m. in the town’s Barangay Sta. Cruz.
Seized were P27,200 worth of suspected shabu, P1,000 boodle money, and P500 buy-bust money.
At around 8:44 p.m., the operation conducted by the Pontevedra MPS in the town’s Barangay Yatingan yielded around 14 grams of suspected shabu valued at P95,200.
Also confiscated from alias “Harly” was a caliber .45 firearm with one magazine and six live ammunition.
Both suspects were detained and will face charges for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.
