ILOILO – Around 70 grams of suspected shabu valued at P476,000 were seized following a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Tabucan, Dumangas, Iloilo around 3 a.m. yesterday.
Joint operatives of the Dumangas Police Station and Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit staged the operation that led to the arrest of Dindo Salonga, 42, a resident of Zone 12, Barangay Calaparan in Iloilo City’s Arevalo district, and was tagged as a high-value individual.
According to Police Major Kenn Albert Lepsia, officer-in-charge of the Dumangas Police Station, they recovered a total of nine sachets of suspected shabu and buy-bust money amounting to P6,500.
Salonga was detained at the Dumangas Police Station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
