BACOLOD City – Anti-drug teams have seized a total of P1.5 million worth of suspected shabu and arrested three suspects in three separate buy-bust operations in Negros Occidental on Wednesday, May 24.
At around 1 p.m., personnel of the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO)-City Drug Enforcement Unit apprehended Jeo Tongoy, 21, in Purok Sigay, Barangay 2.
Tongoy, a high-value individual, sold a sachet of suspected shabu for P1,000 to a police poseur buyer.
Operatives also recovered 16 sachets of suspected shabu, weighing 106 grams and valued at P720,800.
“Tactical interrogation is ongoing to locate the source of illegal drugs, links and accomplices of the suspects for follow-up operations,” the BCPO said in a report.
Around 7:50 p.m., Ma. Theresa Mendoza, 45, was arrested by operatives of Police Station 5 of the BCPO in Purok Cadena de Amor, Barangay 29.
The suspect, a street-level individual, sold to a police poseur buyer a sachet of suspected shabu.
Mendoza also yielded two big and five small sachets of shabu, weighing about 15 grams and valued at P100,000.
In San Carlos City, police arrested Jocelyn Yaon, 36, in Campo 7, Barangay 5.
A police poseur-buyer bought P800 worth of suspected shabu from the suspect past 5:30 p.m.
Yaon also possessed 12 sachets of suspected shabu, weighing 100 grams and with a standard drug price of P680,000.
The suspects now face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (PNA)/PN
