P20T ‘shabu’ seized from Arevalo man

ILOILO City – Suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P20,000 was confiscated from a man during a Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) sting operation in Barangay Sta. Felomina, Arevalo district.

Forty-two-year-old resident Jose Glenn Borja was arrested after selling a sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover PDEA officer for P1,500 around 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday on Bonifacio Street.

Borja was a high-value drug target and a suspected member of the Odicta drug group, according to PDEA.

When frisked, Borja yielded nine more sachets of suspected shabu, a PDEA spot report showed.

Borja was detained at PDEA Region 6’s custodial facility.

He will be facing charges for violation of sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
