P225-T ‘shabu’ seized in Bacolod drug bust

BACOLOD City – Suspected shabu worth some P225,000 was confiscated from a man allegedly related to the suspected leader of Negros Occidental’s Divinagracia drug group , police said.

The 22-year-old Bryan Divinagracia Blasi was caught after he sold shabu to an undercover officer in Barangay 8 on Friday, a police report showed.

Blasi, a resident of Barangay 27 but temporarily residing in Barangay Mandalagan, is alleged to be related with suspected drug lord Michael Divinagracia, according to the Bacolod City Police Office’s Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU).

A DEU team led by Senior Inspector Adrian James Albaytar staged Blasi’s arrest.

According to the police, Blasi tried to evade arrest by boxing the undercover officer.

When frisked, Blasi yielded three more sachets of suspected shabu.

Blasi was detained at the Police Station 6 lockup facility.

Aside from charges for violation of sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002), Blasi is also facing a direct assault charge for attacking a person in authority./PN
