P3M shabu seized, 2 fall in drug bust

BACOLOD City – Suspected shabu worth an estimated P3 million were seized from two people in Purok Bangrus, Barangay 1.

Operatives from the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) of the Bacolod City Police Office arrested residents Rayden Palomero, 34, and Rica Mitch Villalon, 21, police said.

Seized from them during the buy-bust operation on Wednesday were 16 sachets of suspected shabu weighing around 260 grams, a P5,000 marked money and a BDO bank deposit slip.

Inspector Adrian James Albaytar, assistant CDEU team leader, led the operation.

Senior Superintendent Francisco Ebreo, acting city police director, said they learned the suspects made transactions through banks.

Palomero and Mitch were detained at Police Station 2 and facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act of 2002. (With Mae Singuay/PN)
