
BACOLOD City – Operatives of the Bacolod City Police Office’s City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) seized around one kilo of suspected shabu approximately valued at P6.8 million from a suspect in a buy-bust in Purok Masinadyahon, Barangay 12 here.
Alias “Mar-Mar,” 33, and tagged as a high-value individual, was caught in his residence around 12:54 p.m. on Thursday, October 17, after he sold a sachet of suspected shabu to a poseur buyer for P2,000.
Police recovered 12 more plastic sachets and an unsealed plastic bag containing suspected shabu.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Antonio Benitez Jr., chief of CDEU, the suspect was previously arrested for a similar violation in March 2023. He yielded 80 grams of shabu.
Benitez added that the suspect was found to have been supplying shabu to street-level drug peddlers in the city.
The suspect is now under police custody and will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
