BACOLOD City – Authorities here seized an estimated P9.1 million worth of suspected shabu and nabbed two drug suspects in a buy-bust operation in Bangga Subay, Barangay Banago.
Major Ruel Culanag, chief of Bacolod City Police Office Station 3, identified the suspects as Sunny Capa, 22, and Ely Lorence Sazon, 20, all residents of the said village.
Culanag said that prior to their arrest, the suspects sold a sachet of illegal drugs to an undercover officer for P1,000.
Ten more sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 610 grams were confiscated during their arrest around 8 p.m. on Dec. 21.
Culanag said surveillance was conducted on Capa, a “high-value” target who previously surrendered to authorities.
Capa and Sazon were detained in the lockup cell of Police Station 3.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, will be filed against them./PN
