BACOLOD City – A man allegedly shot and hacked his drunken son in Barangay Bug-ang, Toboso, Negros Occidental.
He was 51-year old resident Andres Andales, a police report showed.
According to police investigators, Andres and his 29-year old son Orlan have a heated argument when Orlan struck his father with a hollow block around 3:40 p.m. on Aug. 19.
Andres then allegedly shot Orlan using an improvised shotgun.
The commotion continued until Andres hacked Orlan using a bolo, police said.
Orlan sustained injuries on the body, the police added.
He was brought to the Alfredo Marañon Sr. Memorial District Hospital in Sagay City, Negros Occidental for treatment.
Andres, meanwhile, surrendered and was detained in the Toboso municipal police station’s lockup facility./PN
