Pag-IBIG Loyalty Card Plus now in Cebu

AFTER the initial release of the Pag-IBIG Loyalty Card Plus in the National Capital Region in August, Pag-IBIG Fund is launching the new and improved version of the popular Pag-IBIG Loyalty Card in Cebu and making it available on more areas in the Visayas.

Pag-IBIG Fund chief executive officer Acmad Rizaldy Moti unveiled on Sept. 09 the new Pag-IBIG Loyalty Card Plus in an event held in Cebu City.

“The new and improved Pag-IBIG Loyalty Card Plus can now be used as a cash card. Now, our borrowers can receive the proceeds of their multi-purpose loans, MP2 dividends, and other benefits through the Loyalty Card Plus. This is in line with the call of President Duterte for government to use electronic means to make transactions easier and faster. And as always, card holders will still enjoy the rewards and big discounts from our more than 300 partner establishments. With discounts ranging from five to 50 percent, cardholders can save on groceries, fuel, tuition fees, hospital bills, medicines, and even restaurant and travel expenses,” Moti said.

He added that the Loyalty Card Plus can now also be used as a debit card for cashless transactions and is equipped with an EMV chip – the same technology used in debit and credit cards – to ensure security of transactions. To enable the cash card feature of the Loyalty Card Plus, Pag-IBIG Fund partnered with two of the biggest names in the banking industry. The Fund inked deals with Union Bank of the Philippines and Asia United Bank, both of which issue the Pag-IBIG Loyalty Card Plus. The agency is looking to partner with more banks in the future to bring even more improved services to members.

“We also made availment of the card more convenient for our members. The Pag-IBIG Loyalty Card Plus is now printed on site, which means members can get their card instantly from the Pag-IBIG Fund branch where they applied. With today’s launch, the card is now available in our Cebu-Ayala Branch, Cebu-Colon Branch, Mactan Branch and Mandaue Branch. The card is now also available in more areas in Visayas, specifically in our branches in Danao, Dumaguete, Talisay and Toledo. We will make the card available in more areas across the country on the coming weeks. By October, the Loyalty Card Plus should be available nationwide,” Moti said.

The card shall also be used to access the agency’s soon-to-be launched Virtual Pag-IBIG, an online service facility which will allow members to transact anytime, anywhere./PN
