MANILA – President Rodrigo Duterte’s State Visit to China this week is seen to further the country’s economic growth.
His trip is scheduled from Oct. 18 to 21.
“Expected po natin na maganda po resulta nito sa ating bayan and it will bring in an economic increase. So inaantabayanan po natin itong ating panibagong pakikipag-usap sa Tsina,” said Presidential spokesperson Ernesto Abella.
Abella said Duterte will hold meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and National People’s Congress Chairman Zhang Dejiang.
The Filipino leader, who launched an aggressive campaign on illegal drugs at the start of his presidency, is also expected to visit a drug rehabilitation center in China, according to the Malacañang official.
“There will (also) be several Memoranda of Agreement that will be signed in various fields of cooperation between the (Philippines and China),” Abella added.
“So we expect po na maganda po ang magiging resulta nito para sa atin. It will bring greater cooperation.”/PN
