ILOILO City – Police Colonel Ronaldo Palomo, Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr.’s bet as the new Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) director, was charged with sexual abuse.

In an arrest warrant obtained by Panay News, Palomo was accused of four counts of acts of lasciviousness when he was assigned in Albay.

The arrest warrant was issued by Judge Arlinda Gratil Resari of the Municipal Trial Court in Cities (MTCC) – Branch 1 in Legaspi City, Albay dated Dec. 6, 2022 for violation of Revised Penal Code Act No. 336 or acts of lasciviousness with a recommended bail of P36,000 for each count.

Panay News sources said that a complainant was a policewoman.

Palomo had posted a bail.

Meanwhile, during a telephone interview yesterday, Palomo – a native of Passi City, Iloilo – did not admit nor deny the report, saying that he will not issue a comment on the case since it was already in the court.

Basta mahambal ko lang sa mga Ilonggo, hindi ako amo sina,” he said./PN
