MANILA – The PBA Commissioner’s Office will be doing its best to help resolve the disagreement between Blackwater Elite and the camp of Filipino-American guard Bobby Ray Parks Jr.

PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial said the PBA will use decisions in the past to shed some light on the situation of Parks, who is currently under contract with San Miguel-Alab Pilipinas in the ASEAN Basketball League.

The management of the Elite sought the help of Marcial as they hope to have their No. 2 overall pick in the 2018 PBA Draft to come on board as early as the PBA Philippine Cup.

Parks earlier said he intend to finish off his contract with the Alab Pilipinas before suiting up for the Elite which will make him available starting in the second conference.

“I did talk with Ray and he will also respect the commissioner’s decision,” said Blackwater team owner Siliman Sy. “We wait and see the next coming days kung ano ang decision ni commissioner.”

“Ray stated naman [sa draft application niya] na may commitment siya sa ABL pero Blackwater, with open arms, we would like him to play lalo ngayong kulang kami sa height. San Miguel is willing to release him naman,” he added./PN
