MANILA – President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. welcomed the recent Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey which indicated that majority of Filipinos are satisfied with the Marcos administration.
During an interview over the weekend, the Chief Executive remarked that understanding public sentiment through such surveys motivates him to enhance his performance in office.
“Of course, it’s very encouraging. Siyempre lalakas ang loob namin para patibayin pa, pagandahin pa namin ang trabaho namin,” President Marcos said.
“It’s always good to see that what we are doing is reaching most, the majority of people at nararamdaman naman nila ‘yung mga aming ginagawa,” he added.
According to a survey conducted by SWS in December 2024, the Marcos administration has achieved a net satisfaction rating classified as “good” at +36, reflecting 59% of respondents expressing satisfaction and 23% indicating dissatisfaction.
This rating remains consistent with the administration’s performance in September of the previous year; however, it represents a decrease from the “good” rating of +40 recorded in June 2024, as noted by SWS.
Additionally, 17% of respondents reported being neither satisfied nor dissatisfied, while 23% expressed dissatisfaction with the overall performance of the national government.
The non-commissioned survey, carried out between December 12 and 18, 2024, involved face-to-face interviews with a sample of 2,160 adults across the nation: 1,080 participants from Balance Luzon (Luzon outside Metro Manila), and 360 each from Metro Manila, the Visayas, and Mindanao.
The survey results come with sampling error margins of ±2% for national figures, ±3.0% for Balance Luzon, and ±5% for each of the regions of Metro Manila, the Visayas, and Mindanao./PN
