Mandaluyong City— Two charitable non-governmental organizations (NGOs), which are partner agencies of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), received financial grants totaling ₱1.1 million during a turnover ceremony held on May 26, 2025 at the agency’s Executive Office in Mandaluyong City.
The turnover was led by PCSO General Manager Melquiades Robles.
The Tahanan ng Pagmamahal Children’s Home, Inc., based in Pasig and represented by Executive Director Emila Valdez, received its third grant worth ₱800,000. This renewal reflects the institution’s consistent compliance with the Charity AssistanceDepartment’s documentary requirements and effectiveness in program implementation.

Meanwhile, the House of Refuge Foundation, Inc. in Quezon City, which was newly endorsed for partnership, received its initial grant of ₱300,000 under PCSO’s Institutional Partnership Program (IPP). Ricky Bunao, who personally received the check, assured full compliance with the grant’s proper utilization and liquidation, to ensure eligibility for future assistance.
Both institutions, which provide shelter and care for abused, neglected, and abandoned children, expressed their gratitude to GM Robles and the PCSO Board. They also welcomed the possibility of monitoring visits or ocular inspections by the agency in the near future.
