MANDALUYONG CITY – The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) has remitted ₱132.43 million to the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) on July 29, 2026, as part of its mandatory contribution under existing law.
The fund turnover was held at the PCSO Main Office in Mandaluyong City, with PCSO General Manager Melquiades A. Robles formally presenting the check to CHED Chairperson Dr. Shirley Agrupis.
According to Agrupis, the funds will help finance key educational initiatives intended to improve access to quality higher education and strengthen academic opportunities for Filipino students.

The contribution is in line with the provisions of the Higher Education Act of 1994 (Republic Act No. 7722), which requires PCSO to allocate 1% of its gross lottery sales to CHED.
The turnover reflects the agency’s continued commitment to supporting education and national development through the responsible distribution of lottery-generated funds.
