PCSO: Ultra Lotto jackpot may breach P1 billion

MANILA – Whoever wins the jackpot for the 6/58 Ultra Lotto draw will not get the entire amount.

Under the Tax Reform Acceleration and Inclusion Law, a 20-percent tax will be deducted from the jackpot prize, the Philippine Charity and Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said.

The PCSO estimates that the jackpot will breach the P1-billion mark Tuesday. This will depend on ticket sales, the agency said in a Facebook post Monday.

The jackpot continues to break record – no one won the P954,503,164 jackpot during the Sunday night draw. The winning combination was 45-21-02-30-07-10.

But 273 bettors picked five of the six winning numbers and thus won P46,890 each, the PCSO said.

Moreover, 14,949 got four of the six winning numbers for a P680 prize each, while 260,139 got three numbers for a P20 prize each, added the agency.

It was in February when the 6/58 Ultra Lotto jackpot was last won. The two winning bettors at the time shared the P331.9-million prize.

The 6/58 Ultra Lotto game is drawn every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday./PN
