BACOLOD City – Anti-narcotics agents dismantled an alleged drug den and arrested six suspects during a joint buy-bust operation in Barangay 2, La Carlota City, Negros Occidental.
The operation was conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency–Negros Island Region (PDEA-NIR), in coordination with the La Carlota Police Station, at around 1:35 p.m. on Sept. 16.
Authorities seized 10 heat-sealed transparent sachets containing suspected shabu weighing approximately 17 grams and valued at P115,000.
Also recovered were the buy-bust money, a coin purse, three lighters, and an improvised glass tooter.
PDEA identified alias “Bor Bor” as the alleged maintainer of the drug den. The five other suspects – aliases “Mark,” “Perry,” “Sammy,” “Cris,” and “Renan” – were nabbed as alleged visitors.
The suspects are now detained, facing charges for violations of Sections 5, 6, 7, 11, and 12, Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002)./PN
