PDEA nets 2 ‘pushers’ in Lapuz, Mandurriao

ILOILO City – Government antidrug agents caught two illegal drug pushing suspects in separate operations on Friday.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 6 claimed the two suspects were “connected.”

In fact, the agency said, they were members of the Prevendido drug group and “high-value targets.”

Arrested were Rey Vic Claveria, 41, of Barangay San Juan, Molo district and Gilda Dollete, 53, of Barangay Progreso, Lapuz.

Claveria was caught at around 4:25 p.m. in Barangay Tabucan, Mandurriao.

He yielded six sachets of suspected shabu weighing around 7 grams and with an estimated market value of P35,000, the PDEA said.

Unsealed plastic packs, mobile phones and the P500 buy-bust money were seized from him.

The PDEA identified him as a taxi driver.

At around 7:15 p.m. PDEA agents staged a follow-up operation in Barangay Progreso, Lapuz that led to the arrest of Dollete.

She yielded a sachet of suspected shabu weighing around 3 grams with an estimated market value of P15,000.

Both Claveria and Dollete were detained at the PDEA Region 6 custodial facility./PN
