PELíCULA Spanish Film Festival arrives in Iloilo

HOSTED by the Embassy of Spain in the Philippines and Instituto Cervantes de Manila, the PELíCULA Spanish Film Festival has finally arrived in Iloilo to feature Spanish films for the pleasure and delight of local moviegoers.

PELíCULA started its screenings in Manila in 2002, but it eventually sought to expand to other provinces and found its way here in Iloilo.

With the collaboration of the Film Development Council of the Philippines, the Festival starts its free admission screenings today and its inviting moviegoers and film enthusiasts to watch a selection of four films in Cinematheque Center Iloilo until Nov. 9.

The films are: El Cuento de las Comadrejas’ (“The Weasels’ Tale”) with screening on Nov. 7 at 6:30 p.m., Mi obra maestra (“My Masterpiece”) on Nov. 8 also at 6:30 p.m., and El mejor verano de mi vida (“The Best Summer of My Life”) and El reino (“The Realm”) on Nov. 9 at 4:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., consecutively./PN
