LAUA-AN, Antique – A man was shot in Barangay Capnayan here on Monday afternoon, Oct. 5.
The 43-year-old Junie Dalumpines of Barangay Pangalcagan, Bugasong, Antique died. He was residing temporarily in Barangay Capnayan.
The shooting happened at around 3 p.m. during a heated argument, police said.
Dalumpines confronted suspect Florante “Totong” Bajala of the same barangay and a sacada supervisor.
The confrontation was about a motorcycle of Dalumpines’ sister that Bajala used for hauling.
As this was being written, police investigators were yet to determine what firearm was used on Dalumpines.
Witnesses said Bajala fled with the firearm.
As this was being written, a police manhunt operation was ongoing.
The victim’s body was brought to a funeral parlor for autopsy./PN
