MANILA – Farm Fresh and ZUS Coffee will join forces under the Strong Group Pilipinas banner as they represent the Philippines in the 2026 Taichung Bank Formosa Women’s Volleyball Invitational Tournament in Taiwan, giving both Premier Volleyball League clubs a crucial international test ahead of the 2026 season.
The four-day tournament, scheduled from July 30 to Aug. 2, will pit the combined Philippine squad against club teams and national selection squads from Chinese Taipei, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, and Hong Kong, providing valuable international exposure before the PVL campaign resumes.
The Philippine roster will feature Farm Fresh standouts Maicah Larroza, Trisha Tubu, Roselyn Doria-Aquino, Frances Molina, Louie Romero, Royse Tubino, and Jonna Perdido, alongside ZUS Coffee players Jovelyn Gonzaga, Chinnie Arroyo, AC Miner, Clo Mondoñedo, Riza Nogales, Alyssa Eroa, and Zamantha Nolasco.
Farm Fresh head coach Koji Tsuzurabara will steer the combined squad, with ZUS Coffee mentor Jerry Yee serving as one of his assistants together with Kungfu Reyes and Shaq Delos Santos.
Tsuzurabara said the international competition will be an ideal platform for both teams to sharpen their game before returning to domestic action.
“This tournament gives us exactly the challenge we’re looking for before the PVL season. We’ll be facing quality teams from different countries with different playing styles, and that’s an opportunity for both Farm Fresh and ZUS Coffee to grow,” said Tsuzurabara.
“The level of competition will push our players to improve, build chemistry, and gain the experience that will benefit them once the PVL season begins,” he added.
Yee said wearing the national colors under the Strong Group Pilipinas banner adds greater significance to the campaign while allowing players from both clubs to develop chemistry.
“It’s an honor for our players and coaching staff to wear the Strong Group colors and represent the Philippines. We hope to make our country proud with the way we compete,” said Yee.
“At the same time, bringing together players from Farm Fresh and ZUS Coffee is a great opportunity to build relationships, learn from one another, and create a strong team culture that will benefit both clubs when we return to the PVL.”
The Formosa Invitational marks the first overseas tournament for the combined Farm Fresh-ZUS Coffee squad, which aims to gain valuable international experience and strengthen its chemistry before both clubs resume their respective PVL campaigns./PN
