ILOILO – A 53-year-old driver was hurt after his parked motorcycle was accidentally hit by a pickup on Monday afternoon, August 11, in Barangay Aglosong, Concepcion town.
The victim identified as alias “Nono” sustained injuries in the different parts of his body. He was recuperating at the hospital.
According to the Concepcion Municipal Police Station (MPS), the pickup, allegedly speeding, was driven by alias “Joven” and was en route to Concepcion from Carles town when the accident happened.
The driver told the police that he failed to notice the motorcycle parked beside the road and crashed into it.
Due to the impact, the motorcycle spun towards its driver, Nono, who was drinking soft drink at a nearby sari-sari store.
The pickup driver was taken into custody by the Concepcion MPS.
Police said Joven had committed to replace the damaged motorcycle./PN
