MANILA – The Philippine National Police (PNP) will enforce a “no-leave, no-break” policy for its personnel starting on Dec. 15 and has already deployed 39,000 policemen nationwide to curb illegal activities and crimes for the upcoming holidays.
PNP spokesperson Colonel Jean Fajardo said suspending policemen’s leaves is a regular practice within the organization as part of its “Ligtas Paskuhan 2023” (safe Christmas) operations.
“Naka-full alert na tayo nationwide para siguraduhin na meron tayong readily available na mga personnel for deployment. At as of today, nasa 39,000 personnel na po yung na-i-deploy natin nationwide,” Fajardo said in a press briefing on Tuesday, Dec. 5.

Fajardo explained that personnel were deployed in places of worship, major thoroughfares, transportation terminals, and hubs to prepare for an influx of locals traveling to their respective provinces.
