Policewoman one of Iloilo’s most outstanding

ILOILO City – The chief clerk of Iloilo City Police Office’s (ICPO) Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) was among the 14 The Outstanding Women of Iloilo City (TOWIL) awardees feted this year.

Senior Police Officer 3 Ruth Laudato was honored in the protective service category of the annual search.

“We are happy that from the ICPO, an officer has been recognized. This is the first time for a senior police non-commissioned officer to be honored as TOWIL,” said ICPO spokesperson Senior Inspector Shella Mae Sangrines.

Laudato was an advocate of proper youth formation and campaigned for a stop to youth gang wars in the city.

The WCPD through Laudato created project B.O.N.G or “Bringing Order to the Nemesis of Gangs” – a strategy that aims to achieve the holistic growth of young people to make them productive members of society.
