
ILOILO City – A total of 40,000 residents of this southern city will receive early Christmas gifts from the city government.
On Dec. 9, the city government, through the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), started distributing food packs to beneficiaries in different barangays.
The beneficiaries of this annual gift-giving are indigent families, senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PWDs).
According to CSWDO head Terry Gelogo, the city allotted P6.5 million for the food packs.
Indigent families, PWDs and older persons get two kilos of rice, two sachets of chocolate drink and canned goods./PN
