ILOILO City – A resident of Barangay Rumbang, Pototan, Iloilo had been shot dead by his neighbor.
The 32 year-old Marlou Vijar was taken to the Iloilo Provincial Hospital, also in Pototan, but was declared “dead on arrival.”
The suspect, Robert Armada lso, used a 12-gauge shotgun, said Senior Inspector Bonifacio Alabe, Pototan police chief.
An empty shell of a 12-gauge shotgun was found at the crime scene, said Alabe.
Around 3 p.m. on March 30, the suspect was riding his motorcycle when he almost hit the victim’s child, Alabe said.
That the two already had grudges against each other only made the situation worse, he said.
Vijar went to Iso’s house to confront the latter.
Vijar was also armed at the time, Alabe said. Iso got irked, grabbed his shotgun and fired at the victim.
Iso fled after the incident and remains at large as of this writing. Police are searching for him, said Alabe./PN
